What to Expect From Your Longevity & Wellness Assessment
At the Longevity Centers of America, our primary goal is to uncover the “why” behind your symptoms, instead of just treating them. Our Longevity and Wellness Assessment is designed to uncover underlying imbalances that inform a comprehensive plan that guides your healing journey, so that you can sustain long-term health. The assessment is structured to identify the physiological drivers underlying symptoms and to track measurable change across the full course of care.
The LCOA applies this framework to every patient, regardless of whether the presenting concern is chronic fatigue, hormonal disruption, metabolic dysfunction, cognitive complaints, or a general interest in proactive longevity care. Below is what each roadmap comprises.
Initial Intake Visit
DIAGNOSTICS
Your first visit is longer and more detailed than a standard appointment, because the goal is to understand what is actually driving your symptoms. A physician reviews your full medical history, current concerns, and lifestyle factors, then selects comprehensive lab testing based on what that conversation reveals. The results become the foundation for everything that follows.
- Identify root causes through in-depth consultation
- Review medical history and health concerns
- Order and interpret comprehensive lab testing
Create Care Plan
CUSTOM THERAPIES PLAN
Once your lab results return, your physician walks you through what they show and builds a plan around those specific findings. Nutritional, hormonal, metabolic, and lifestyle factors are addressed together, since they rarely operate in isolation. You leave with a clear strategy and defined goals, and an understanding of which markers each recommendation is meant to move.
- Receive a tailored care strategy based on your test results
- Address nutritional, hormonal, metabolic, and lifestyle needs
- Map out short- and long-term goals
Therapy Process
ACTIVE WELLNESS PROTOCOLS
This is where your plan goes into practice. Depending on what your results called for, your protocol may combine IV and infusion therapies, targeted supplementation, peptides, regenerative injections, or other therapies. Your care team stays in regular contact throughout, and the protocol is adjusted as you respond, since how your body reacts often tells us as much as the initial testing did.
- Begin your customized protocol
- Adjust therapies as needed to support progress
Completion of Plan
PROGRESS EVALUATION
At the end of your care plan window, you return for a structured evaluation built around one primary question: did the plan move the markers it was designed to do? We retest your key labs and compare them directly against your original baseline, alongside how you actually feel. Those results determine what comes next, whether that means shifting into maintenance, adjusting the protocol, or looking deeper.
- Evaluate your response to therapy
- Re-test and review markers of success
- Identify next steps for maintenance or further care
Optimize
UNLOCK PEAK VITALITY
Feeling better is the starting point, not the finish line. Once your markers are where they should be, our focus will shift from resolution to protection: periodic reassessment, lifestyle strategies that hold your gains in place, and preventive care aimed at how you age. Your care team stays with you through it all, because maintaining a healthy trajectory takes ongoing measurement, not a single round of care.
- Transition into long-term support and monitoring
- Focus on lifestyle, prevention, and healthy aging
- Continue collaborating with your care team for sustained vitality

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the LCOA Longevity and Wellness Assessment?
Our Longevity and Wellness Assessment is a five-step clinical process consisting of an initial intake visit, creation of a personalized care plan, an active therapy phase, a progress evaluation with retesting, and a long-term optimization phase. It is the standard framework through which all patients at the LCOA are evaluated and helped, and it is designed to identify the physiological factors underlying a patient’s symptoms.
How long does the Longevity and Wellness Assessment process take from start to finish?
The overall timeline varies considerably depending on the complexity of the clinical picture and the therapies involved. The initial intake and laboratory phase generally takes a few days to a week, though it can go slightly longer for specialty panels. The active therapy phase and the interval before retesting typically span several months. Our team can better estimate the duration of each phase after an initial consultation.
What kind of testing is included?
Testing is selected based on the working hypothesis developed during the consultation rather than drawn from a fixed panel. Depending on presentation, testing may include comprehensive hormone panels; metabolic and inflammatory markers; nutrient and micronutrient status; biologic age markers; NAD+ levels; heavy metal burden; and specialty screening for tick-borne illness or mold exposure. The Longevity Centers offer several distinct diagnostic pathways, and the appropriate combination is determined during Step 01.
How is this different from a conventional annual physical?
A conventional annual physical is generally structured around disease screening and uses a standardized laboratory panel with reference ranges calibrated to detect established disease. The Longevity and Wellness Assessment differs in three respects: the diagnostic panel is broader and selected individually, the interpretive framework examines functional optimization rather than merely the presence or absence of disease, and the process includes a defined retesting stage that measures whether the intervention produced objective change.
Will I need to continue care after completing the plan?
Not necessarily—at least not in the same form. Step 04 evaluates therapy response and determines the appropriate next step, which may be a transition into maintenance, a modification of the existing protocol, or additional diagnostic investigation. Many patients move into the Step 05 optimization phase, which emphasizes periodic monitoring, lifestyle support, and preventive care (rather than active therapeutic intervention).
Is the Longevity and Wellness Assessment appropriate for someone without symptoms?
Yes, a substantial portion of our patients enter the process without an active clinical complaint, seeking instead to establish a comprehensive biomarker baseline and manage it proactively over time. The process is identical in structure for these patients, though the emphasis shifts toward preventive longevity care and long-term monitoring rather than symptom resolution.
